It is the largest island in the Venezuelan state of Nueva Esparta. I guess that means I've been to Venezuela too! I know I said I never went to a place I didn't like, but now I come to think of it, Margarita wasn't that picturesque - all I remember now is a lot of dirt-covered landscape.

Yes, there ARE so many places to see, DebAnn ...

Tell me .... is Margarita Island in the Caribbean, too? ... I assume so, since it was listed within ... is it near St. Kitts and Nevis?

Aha! .... Way down there! ... I knew it sounded vaguely familiar ... just couldn't quite place it!

Yes, if you set foot on Margarita Island, then - you've been in Venezuela .... aren't you lucky, DebAnn?

Sorry your experience wasn't that great ....

I guess it'd be easier to name the six continents than the 68 countries, huh, J?

Photographed in them all, did ya?

And you photographed in every one, did you, Ky?

Got some from Macau?

How about the Canary Islands?

Maybe one or two shot in the Galapagos Islands?

I believe it's 37 plus Puerto Rico (which is technically part of the USA): USA; Canada; China (and Hong Kong); Taiwan; Iran; Turkey; Greece (and Islands); Cyprus; UK (England, Scotland, Wales); Ireland; Russia; Finland; Sweden; Norway; Denmark; Estonia; Latvia; Poland; Germany; Netherlands; Belgium; Czech Republic; Slovakia;
Hungary; Austria; Switzerland; France; Italy; Spain; Mexico; Belize; Cayman Islands; Roatan (Honduras); New Zealand; Australia. (I counted all 3 parts of the UK I visited as separate countries and did not count PR).

Regarding the USA and Canada, I've been in all 50 US States (and Puerto Rico and Johnston Atoll) and all but 2 of the Canada Provinces (no Northwest Territory or Nunavut but both Labrador and Newfoundland). Greek Islands visited were Hydra, Poros, Aegina, Rhodes, Santorini, Patmos, and Mykonos. I have done no travel in continental South America or Africa. A plane I was flying in (to Iran) stopped in Beirut, Lebanon, but I didn't get off, so I guess that doesn't count. And I think a plane I was flying from Iran to Greece made a quick stop in Saudi Arabia, but I didn't get off there, either.

Last count 53. All 7 continents, all 50 states and most Canadian provinces. Mostly landscapes. Never figured out whether I do photography as an excuse to travel or travel as an excuse to do photography. Very grateful, however, that I learned early in my adult life that experiences are far more important than things. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Well, David - you can count Saudia Arabia and Lebanon if you want .... when I flew to Montreal ... the plane stopped at Shannon for a change to another aircraft ... so, I had to depart the one out of Heathrow ... and go through Customs again ... so I'd count that as a stop in Ireland ....
