Ah, but, Nick ... were you photographing in every country you went to, whilst in the service?

Four continents: Every country in Europe, excluding Wales, Scotland and Ireland, but including Luxembourg and the eastern bloc. Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia. Every state in the USA but Alaska. Canada. Mexico. The Caribbean islands. Morocco.

I don't know how many that makes. Plus, changing borders have altered the map. Yugoslavia is now... what?

On my bucket list: South America, Australia, Antarctica, Alaska.

You have about 40 countries listed there, Fred - excluding the Caribbean Islands .... of which there are about 25 ... which ones have you been to?

The Country that used to be known as Yugoslavia is now called Serbia and Montenegro ... Kosovo broke away just a few years ago.

Other countries formed out of the split are as follows: Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, and Macedonia (not your old one ... )

Won't have to take my shoes off for this answer---one! Most of my hedgehog postings were taken near our home, which is close to Williamsburg, Virginia and also fairly recent trips to Florida.

Congratulations, Swamp .... you're in (or near) the first-settled place in the USA - Jamestown!!!

Williamsburg used to be called the Upper Plantation ... did you know that?

And, then - William III (and Mary II) sat jointly on the throne ... and Voila!!! .... It became Williamsburg!!!

Shortly, thereafter - The College of William and Mary - was anointed ... the second oldest college in the country (1693)

Aren't you lucky to be so near?
