Rick ... I guess you live in an area where a lot of nature IS action, huh?

The coyote is excellent as is the Cardinal.
My favorites are abandon farm houses & barns. I see many on our trips around the country. I can't get stopped to get the shot many times.

You can't "get stopped" - Edr?

For me it is wildlife that I see along the river while kayaking. The Bald Eagle is my favorite.

Aren't you ever worried about going into the ditch, Kayaking?

Not that it matters that much, since the D3200 can be gotten now for a couple hundred ...

But, I'll bet that lens set you back!

Two words for you, K ...

Yeah, me, too, Henri ...

Just as well we all shoot digital, now, huh?

While I love to shoot animals and places I think my favorite are people in candid poses. These can be friends or people on the streets (permission if I don't know them and I'm close enough to make it obvious I'm shooting them). You get such better and more interesting perspectives of people when not making them pose.

However reading my answer, I realize my favorites are pictures on exotic trips and thinking about each shot and how I can possibly weave it into a photo-story of the trip.

I try to avoid shooting people like the plague ....

They don't seem to like it very much, Jay ...

What's your most favorite aircraft you ever shot, MB? .... Got a pic you might like to share?

This is one of about 3000, but I'm particularly fond of the subject matter. It was shot with a D5200 and a Sigma 150-500 lens at the Sacramento Capital Air show in 2016.

Gotta like FiFi. I have a pic of her with Doc from Oshkosh this year (along with about 5k other pics). I go about every 2-3 yrs when my wallet is thick enough. So far I'd flown on the Bell 47 and the Tri-motor...haven't yet been able to afford a B-29 ride, and a mustang trip would cost about 2 month's gross pay!! If you have FB check out my albums.

And what is it, MB?

Looks kinda like a B-52, huh?

More slender fuselage, though ...

Nice shot, btw ....

Handheld, or tripod-mounted?

Yup, Michael .... me, too ....

But animals do tend to make 'em more real, don't they?

Really?... It's only one of two B-29s that are currently air worthy... FiFi was produced at the end of WW II and was never used for any combat missions. She was certified airworthy in 2010. The other B-29 (Doc) was a radar trainer during the Korean War and was restored about 2-3 years ago. I'd love a chance to photograph the two of them together.... That would be awesome!!!

You'd have to make sure they were both using adjacent hangars, I'd say, MB .... do they?

Here they are (if you don't mind me posting) I shot this with a rented a77ii and 70-400G2 from Lensrentals. Unfortunately, and you'll have to forgive me, the shutter speed was too fast as the B-1, B-2 and B-52 did a fly-by just prior and I forgot to re-adjust for the props.

I don't know much about shooting airplanes but I think you did a great job on this one. The shutter speed is just right to how enough propeller movement to make it look alive.
