US trip:- Flying to Salt Lake City.
Moving along, we caught a Greyhound bus at 5am from Jackson Ms to Tuscaloosa Al. We have good memories, experienced the real America on that bus trip, the driver was great - but that's another story. In hindsight, we should have stayed on to Atlanta...walked for miles around Tuscaloosa, lovely river walk on the Black Warrior River. Supposed to catch the Amtrak around mid-day, but it was 4 and a half hours late. Paul and a College kid amused themselves by putting pennies on the train track. So we didn't get to our hotel in Atlanta till 1am. Wasn't our best day.
We loved the south, had some trouble with the accents which was funny. eg. Paul went in to a kidney clinic in Jackson, to ask if we could leave the car in their carpark for a couple of hours. The guy said "I got no idea whatchoo talkin about". He had to get someone else, who got the gist.
Sometimes we had trouble asking for water, or coke. Sometimes people would ask what city we were from.
So we flew with Frontier to SLC, great flight over the Rockies. Loved the snow on the mountains. We went straight to pick up our little campervan, and out into 6 lanes of traffic. Paul did a good job, even if he did keep putting the wipers on instead of the blinkers.
ps....the photos look better on download.

Ooops. I meant to add a little info. The Dodge was our home for the next week. Comfortable mattress in the back, kitchen in the very back. It was hard at times for two old geezers, but we had a great time in it, and camped in amazing spots.
You are in my neck of the woods. Hope you enjoy your trip. Ley me know if I can help.

Thanks Mike, but have been home for a couple of weeks now. I've been posting pics of our month long trip, in stages for anyone interested to see.

I know you & Paul don't mind roughing it a bit & that camp site looks really super. Great pics, too.
