I'M BACK ...
Hi all,
I've been a member of Ugly Hedgehog since September 2011 but, unfortunately, somehow must have taken a wrong turn somewhere along the way, got lost and disconnected from UHH. I'm not quite clear how that happened but, regrettably, it did. Nonetheless, I remember how much I enjoyed the exchanges and back and forth dialogue so, I'm glad to be back, hoping to resume and participate exchanging thoughts and ideas with other like-minded individuals.
Since the time I disappeared, I've discovered, become passionate about, and immersed myself in wildlife and nature photography. Since mid-2014, my wife and I have been traveling quite a bit in pursuit of knowledge and experience and are attempting to climb the immense learning curve involved.
I'm attaching a few images to sort of give you a feel for what we've been up to.
Glad to be back.

Welcome back. I don't know the history of your absents but I kind of wonder if it was a virus you may have picked up that attached itself to your other comments and such.
It's not because of a virus but my Verison cellphone will not let me respond to a post on UGLY. All the other message boards but not UGLY for some reason. My wife's cellphone will work fine, (rarely use it), and any desktop but not my cellphone and no one can figure out the answer as to why even after a checkup and full system restore from two Verison stores.
Nice photos BTW.
You're back and with a vengeance. Great shots with the last one standing out for me.
Excellent Great shoots of 2,3,4, what camera & settings?
Don, welcome back. Now, stay with us. Please, don't go wandering off somewhere again.

All those images are really good, large print gallery worthy. Clearly you've honed your art/craft to fine tuned excellence.
I hope you keep posting your work Don.
Wonderful shots! Thanks for the return and sharing.
Welcome back--great photos.
Hi Canuck,
The Coyote was shot with my Nikon D7200 with an Nikkor 80-400 at f/5.6 and 1/1000 sec. Both the Eagle and the Sandhill Cranes with my D810 and my Tamron 150-600mm; the Eagle at 1/1600 sec and the Cranes at f/6.3 at 1/1250 sec.
Thanks for your feedback.
Don
To all: Thanks for the kind words and feedback. The warm glow is like the prodigal son returning in time for Christmas. I think I'll stick around.
Have a happy Thanksgiving and a great holiday season.
