What am I seeing?

What the heck, just processed some Longhorn photos from this summer and noticed this one.
Look at the feet. It looks like horns of another Longhorn that this one is standing on. I can
only assume there is a hole or ditch behind that the other is in? It does not look like there are
any holes or hills behind the main Longhorn! What does it look like to you?

Were you using the clone or heal tool for anything?

No, in fact this came from my little SX60 camera as a JPEG not RAW. All I did was sharpen a little and a little noise reduction.

There is either an old horn on the ground or this guy has a serious hoof problem!!!

You know, I would agree, but this is right down the hill from me and there is not that much of an elevation change for her/him to be standing.
I have to assume the other is laying down in a slight hole/arroyo...

Look at the dark bushes along the line where his hoofs are and you can see a line along the top of the rise.
