Thank you UTMike, I appreciate your looking at my photos and taking the time to respond. We did have a good time - wish we could do it more often.

Everyone loves the Green Heron - not a surprise though.

Thanks merrytexan. I appreciate your looking at my photos and your most kind comments.

The green heron is by far the most commented about - you are only the second to mention the limpkin.

Spent a fantastic morning Tuesday with Sylvia (sylvias), her husband Bob and Gregory (gregoryd45) at one of my favorite places for wildlife in central Florida.

Much of the activity among the wildlife was feeding so I limited these photos to birds searching for or eating their catch.

Please use the download key - hope that you enjoy these photos.

Very nice and the fourth and last ones are outstanding....Rich

Thank you very much Rich. Glad to have you check out my photos and like them.

The green heron is a beautiful bird, not commonly seen. It was quite interesting to see how the limpkin extracted the snail from its shell. Glad I'm not an apple snail.

Yes, Sylvia - we did have an enjoyable time. Except for your run in with the red ants - hope you have recovered from that misfortune.

The Green Heron was the crowd favorite from my posting - was it for yours also?

There is still one small piece of land available here in Florida available for you and Bob. Once you move in, we can get together and shoot everyday.

Yes, Sylvia - we did have an enjoyable time. Excep... (show quote)

Just like you said Larry, the ant bites grew in size overnight! The piece of land sounds great but Bob said he would melt away in your summer weather.

The Green Heron and the juvenile Ibis (that I called a Limpkin) seemed to be the favourites.
