Viewfinder Size ... they seem to grow smaller, don't they - with each iteration ... will we ever get back to one the size of the D90?

I don't know about you, but I want a VF I can clearly see into and through - in order to compose and focus on my subject - and still have room for all those whiz-bangs around the perimeter. Know what I mean? ... Making it smaller, all the time - while multiplying all those whiz-bangs ... just makes it all that much harder to compose and focus - doesn't it? ... Can't we go back to something bigger AND clearer, please!
You may want to check out the Panasonic G9’s viewfinder. Or the Gh5’s or the Leica SL’s I think those are the 3 largest one. Maybe the Fuji x2 as well.
... of course these are all EVFs. Don’t forget the Sony A9 either

And - getting any of these, Tom ... would put me into yet a FIFTH DSLR system ...
Unfortunately, it's just not do-able ... I'm hoping for the improvement within one I already own ... (Nikon, Canon, Sony, Pentax) ...
Still, thanks for the suggestion, Tom .... Fuji X2, eh?
Hmmmmm ....

Yes nice big viewfinder.
Okay, Tom ....
But did you mean the X2 or the X-T2?

Okay .... It's a $1600.00 item, Tom ... did you know?

You want more you've got to pay more. And, $1600 is not that much for a camera these days.

If you sold all those old Canon bodies you could afford it.

Right! .... and the dozen EOS lenses, too - right?
Ain't gonna happen, Chaman ...
Of all of my systems, that one's the closest to being complete ... all I need is a 100 Macro and a 100-400 ... thassit!
But, thanks for the suggestion, anyway ....
Actually, I'm probably closer to buying one more Canon body, than I am to starting a new system ....
I keep hoping one of the companies I've invested in, will take the hint, here ... (or, the nudge) ...

Sure did. The GH5 is $2000.00. The G9 is $1700.00. Top of the line cameras are usually are up there in price. Even my EM1 and EM5 mark2 have huge viewfinders.

Huge, huh, Tom ....?
Perhaps, we need to define "huge" ....
I mentioned the one on the D90 in the title of the thread ...
Are you familiar with that one?
If so, would you say - generally - the MFT VFs are bigger in relation to that one, or - not as big?
Never seen a D90 in my life. So unfortunately I can’t comment. I have seen a Sony A6000’s and I couldn’t ever go back to something that small. Also a T3. The ovf was tiny!

Yes, I've looked thru the VF on a Sony a6000, too ... and, yes, Tom - it is small ....
As you can already see, I own the T3 ... it was my first DSLR ... still use it, off and on ... the VF is smaller than the D90 ....
But, then - they ALL are ... at least, the dozen I have ... I really miss that D90 ... the VF was clear, and "huge" ...
Perhaps, I need to find a micrometer, and someone who still HAS a D90 ... to get it down to a REAL comparison ....
