Had a great time meeting up again with Gregory45 and Madman(Larry) yesterday, wondering around the reserve. Unfortunately alligator alley was closed due to damage from hurricane Irma. Not too much going on, but a lesson I quickly learned when trying to get closer to the action......keep off the grass when fire ants are around, ouch!!

Still practicing with the new lens.

Canon 650D, Tamron 18-400 lens.

You got some good shots there. That bird looks too big for the tree/bush.

Great shots! I love that place. Sorry to hear that the alligator alley section is closed. That is one of my favorite paths.
(Just a by the way, your first photo is a juvenile white ibis, not a limpkin) Great shot nonetheless.

At first glance I thought ibis as well. Having never seen a Lumpkin I was happy to agree.

These are all very nice.
I very much like the green her on. Of all the her on these are among my favorites and there shots capture the green her on colors very nicely

Hi,
Wow! Lots of very sharp wildlife pix. Well done.

I have a Tamron 18 - 300 on a Nikon D7100 and I'm considering stepping up to the 18 - 400. Do you think it is worth an upgrade? (Fortunately, budget is not a constraining factor.) Please let me know what you think.
Regards,
Don

The limpkin shot is adorable, as is the yoga-stretching squirrel. Love the green heron photos too!
