Bob's (Bob 41) images of Lake Louise have inspired me to share a couple of mine. I only had one day to spend in the area but the Photographer's Ephemeris had given me some clues of what I might hope for. Arrived before first light, set up and waited for enough light to capture image 1.
Had hoped to catch golden light on distant Mount Victoria reflected in the lake. That would only be possible if the eastern sky was clear. This was the only day of a 2 week trip where that was the case (image 2).
Experience has taught me that, even on those rare and wonderful occasions where everything comes together to give me exactly what I was hoping for, LINGER just 5 minutes longer. The results can sometimes be amazing. (image 3).
Your experience was rewarded with a fantastic capture.

#3 is a winner! Thanks for lingering.
Worth the wait!!! To say the least!!! Bravo!
I'd like to thank everyone who looked and commented. The experience will live in my memory (I hope) forever. Still, I'm very thankful to have these images.

WOW! Those are truly spectacular photos! What a difference the early morning makes. We always have arrived in the mid to late afternoon. Thanks for sharing these & for bringing it to my attention. Neat seeing in the download that someone was already in one of the canoes. You did great! Bob
