Mail from Chase Bank

This is almost funny. I got mail from Chase about my CC. They are raising my interest rate because, "...your annual APRs are below the lowest APRs we offer on similar cards." In other words, we charge higher interest rates on other cards, so we are raising the interest rate on your card. This is another good reason to maintain either a zero balance or a low balance.

I only use a CC if I am going to pay it off each month. I only keep on for emergency or car rental and then pay it off before the first 30 days.

I got a Sam's Club MasterCard a couple of years ago. They send users a check every February, based on purchases. So far this year, I'll receive $223, and I still have three months to go. I've never paid any interest, and they are paying me hundreds. I wonder how much longer they will let me keep doing this.

As long as you continue to use the card or they change the program. Credit card companies make money on each transaction so even if you pay the balance monthly and never pay interest, they still make money.

And the retailer passes it on to the consumer. Remember when some gas stations charged less for cash purchases? I've been in several shops that give a discount for paying with cash. No credit card, no surcharge.

Chase is one of America's greatest criminal corporations! Shame on you for even doing business with them. CANCEL YOUR CARD!

Credit card companies consider those of us who pay off our card bills every month or more often to be ripping them off, really. If you heard their management talking about customers who always pay their bills in a timely way so they can't charge interest you'd figure you'd been described by a loan shark cuz you paid off their loans instead of getting deeper into 'vigorish'. Still, it's hard to live a normal life in the West without at least one card. Can't buy anything on the internet (unless you expose yourself and your bank account to Paypal) or use crypto currencies. Can't check in to almost any hotel/motel.

I used to have a Chase card that charged 7% and then they raised the interest rate to 14%. I called them to find out why and was told it was a "business decision". I immediately cancelled my card and told them to NEVER contact me again for any reason. So far they haven't.

My CC gives back 2% on all purchases so I never use cash and
I always pay in full at the end of the month.

I use two cards and pay them both in full every month. One card gives 3% on supermarket purchases so I use it for that. The other is a Costco card and I shop there enough to pay off my Costco yearly dues, plus they pay 3% at restaurants so I use it when we eat out. On both cards I get a nice rebate every year. The CC industry calls people like me "Deadbeats."
