Every year, for the past 40 years, a reenactment of this famous 240 year-old battle pitting the colonial troops against the British has been held about a block from our house. It is an all-out affair that draws folks from across the nation. I have gone a few times, when our son was young, and thought this time, to bring my camera. There were lots of interesting characters and they are what most drew my lens. I didn't get there in time for the American's to lose, but it was encouraging to know how it played out in the end! It was from here, Washington took the troops to Valley Forge to winter over and regroup. Next year, I will get there for the actual battle, if my ears can take it. I hope you enjoy the downloads. The color seems dark in the avatars. Maybe not the best shots, but I think they give the flavor.
Good set. Reenactments are a rich photo environment. ;-)
Very nice series, Bernie. I like the closeups of the "characters" a lot!
