Next to eating, Duncan's favorite activity is going for a ride in the front seat with his "Dad". Since I call him "Son", I understand the attraction.
Very nice - Duncan looks like a great pal. My Goldens always loved going for a ride.

Thanks yssrik. I see the attraction spreads wide and far.

Nice shot!

After my daughter was born her Mom decided she didn't want to go through that again. I was hoping for a little brother for my girl so I got a boy puppy and started calling him son. It works for us.

If it works for you it is great! Good for you.
I disagree with Sirius One. I see a striking resemblance. Father and son beards are practically identical!

Thanks globetrekker. There was a time when my beard was almost as dark as Duncan's. Oh to be young again.
Bob, what breed of dog is Duncan? I have a dog that looks very similar and since she was a rescue, her paperwork only says 'terrier mix'. Hoping for something more definitive.. Duncan is a very handsome fellow! Thanks

He is a pure-bred Shih Tzu, but doesn't look like a show dog because we keep him in a "puppy cut" grooming style, and treat him as one of the family.
Thanks Bob, unfortunately that doesn't solve my mystery because Suki is about 24" at the shoulder and weighs 65 pounds....a bit big for a Shih Tzu, I'd guess. Either way, it really doesn't matter because she's loved and is a family member, too!

He’s a beauty! You are fortunate to have such a loyal family member!

Thank you phv. From what I've read, the connection works both ways ....... the dog benefits greatly too.
