Do any of the members here belong to this website.

I purchased what I thought were some lightroom presets.

I gave them my cc information.

I get a reoccurring bill every month for 49.00

I try to cancel whatever it is that he is selling but to no avail.

No phone number to call, no way out.

I have contacted my CC company and ask them to block him and will follow-up with a dispute.

I would have preferred to call and just cancel but very difficult to do without a number.

anyone else experience this?

I know what you mean, and it's a horrible situation. If you clicked "Agree," then you agreed to the deal, so the CC company may not be able to cancel it. However, they should have a way for you - or them - to contact the company. Very often, there is a phone number on the CC statement, along with the charge. A sneaky alternative: tell the CC company that the card was lost or destroyed. They will issue a new one with a different number, so Coles will no longer be able to bill you.

Let us know how this turns out.

EDIT: Did you try this?

You can go to my page for free, lots of general information, viathelens.net. Books are fairly cheap and always there to consult. Martin Evening lightroom book is good. These darn web pages can be so devious! Just a way to get your money.

A similar thing happened to me only worse. I ordered an item from a company in Russia which I didn’t realize. I began getting multiple charges on my business credit card. I immediately cancelled that card and applied for a new one. Then I disputed the bogus charges through my bank—not the credit card company. It took several months of avadavits and sworn statements—but they were finally credited back to my business checking account. Now when I order an item from overseas, I do it through a known retailer, such as Adorama.
Good luck. It takes time & I also realize the perps got the money and my financial institution was left holding the bag.

Easy way out - cancel your current card and have a new one issued. We had a similar situation and our CC had no problem issuing a new card - evidently this is a common occurrence.

Well I had an interesting conversation with my CC company dispute folks. Not a pleasant conversation, but, lets just say it is resolved and I will at least be reimbursed for the last month charge. I will eat the previous months...Friends beware of your internet purchases. While they may seem to be legit, some are just financial thieves...

I had that conversation with my bank & suggested that I would close two business accounts if the charges weren’t removed. In my case, I had notified them and they allowed two more charges to go through so I felt it was a bank issue. I did eat two previous charges...

Contact your State Attorney General as a follow-up and report the situation to them.
Perhaps there is some action they can take or at least be aware of these business practices.

Best,
Todd Ferguson

Hmm . . . I recently signed up for their service for $1 for a ten day trial and then $49 per month thereafter. I canceled after about 7 days and was assured that additional charges would not be made. Believe me when I say I will be watching my statements carefully after your experience. BTW I purchased some presets a few years ago from them and had not subsequent charges or problems--other than having them pepper my inbox numerous times each week. Thanks for the heads up.

They never got any of my money, but I almost never got rid of their pesky e-mails. Good luck.

One of the advantages of those credit cards one purchases at the store and loads as much money on it as they need. In a case like this, the card get shredded and that's the end of it. Then purchase another card.

I use Virtual Credit Card (VCC) numbers. Your bank will issue them either thru their website or using their app. Very easy to create and use. The advantage is they can be setup for one-time use only. You can also specify a maximum amount, limiting your liability. You never give out your actual card number. I use these for online purchases to reduce my exposure to hacks.
