These really are excellent. The first shot of the turkeys shows them off so beautifully. Years ago I did a large ceramic piece of a wild turkey. I studied their feather colors and patterns before painting and was amazed at the complexity.

That must have been a tremendous challenge. i am truly amazed by the depth and multitude of colors in their plumage as well. And during the spring, the males burst with color.

I have spent a lot of time with these ducks. I use to work as a park naturalist on this preserve, and the generations of offspring have been coming to this pond for decades. It is a special haven for them during the duck season.
