These are not destruction porn like some may expect. These are just almost everyday images in a setting where I would never want anyone in the world to be. After the devastation I desired for some sense of normalcy. To get it I just brought my camera out and shot some images. There is no unifying theme however. My dogs in the yard, some of the broken trees around, a few birds even the Moon. The only common theme was behind the camera and consisted of my desperation to get back to normal. I am one of the few lucky enough to have power and water back after almost 40 days. Remember that more that 70% of people here is without power! Just recently some resemblance of an internet connection has been available, reason why I decided to post these. Not that these are intended to win prizes but serve as a reminder of those early days after the destruction. When you go through something like those the most important things in life suddenly are presented to you. In my case was my family and my work. But my passion for photography found a way to be with me too.

It sounds like they have been good therapy for you. I hope they continue to help you back to a sens of normality. Your eye for a good shot obviously hasn't suffered.
You certainly made some delicious lemonade out of a "lemon" of a situation!
Continue what you are doing. I think it is not only good for your soul but good for you eye. Seems you are still able to produce peaceful scenes in the midst of termoil. Keep them coming
Thanks for the kind comments.

A very good set. I think your objective has been reached. I clearly get the impression the photography is very much a part of your personal therapy as well. Thank you for posting these poignant images.
