Is there an app that will tell and or simulate the suns affect/shadows, at a given time, place, Builing, mountains etc?

Check out the Photographer's Ephemeris. One of our photo club members demonstrated this. My observation was that it is not all just luck. He agreed.

PhotoPills, phone app only. Simulates moon, sun, milky way, gives you lots of information to figure out height. Can be fairly technical learn for some things, very easy for other things.

I have heard that Photo Pills, when taken twice a day, not only increase the
quality of your "magic hour" photos dramatically, but also cure heartburn.
BTW, anyone who has ever chased magic hour knows it's nowhere near an hour long.

Not so PhotoPills can be run on a iPad and iPad Pro. I don't know about android.

Try Sun Surveyor, either the free app or the "Pro" version for a few bucks. Thanks
