Here is somthing that the gun control nuts. perhaps. Don't know. This evil shooter in Texas was dishonorably discharged from the airforce. As such he was not legally allowed to posess firearms. therefore his posesion of his weapons was illegl. No amount of gun control laws would have prevented the massacre. So the axiom of" if guns were illegal only criminal would have guns" is demonstrated in this shooting. The harsh reality is that there are risks in living in a free society. I am sure that this fact does not make the famillies of the victims feel any better, But Ben Franklin was right when he said "if you give up your freedom to insure your safety, you will have neither".

Exactly !!
Which points the issue back to everyone being personally responsible for their own well being and never relying on government for protection.
When you look at how well government is at being reactive, proactive plans are best done at the personal level.

The least OccupyDemocrats could have done with their meme is to have correctly labeled the rifle depicted in the photo.

You might have a different opinion if eight of your family members were murdered in that church.

Obviously, criminals can get guns when they want, so gun control won't work.

If you can't keep the guns out of the hands of criminals and crazy people, then you need to keep criminals and crazy people away from guns.

Deport them all to Afghanistan.

You're still an ignorant moron 'eh.
The Constitution emphasises the need for personal responsibility.
Obviously you don't feel capable of caring for yourself.

And the survivors are glad they don't live in England where only terrorists like you have guns....

I don't believe that is what he was responding to. More like a ridiculous meme.

Exactly, authorities (cops etc.) can not protect you, they usually show up after the fact. Everyone is responsible for their own safety, its just that some can do it better than others.

He was not dishonorably discharged. A bad conduct discharge isn't a good thing but it isn't a dishonorable. May still not have been supposed to have a gun.

No, the Constitution does not emphasize the need for personal responsibility. It simply says, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Note: It does not say for self-defense, hunting, fun, target practice, murder or to compensate for a small penis.
