Does anyone here use this software? I downloaded the 30-day trial, and it seems pretty good. But, sometimes you need to use an application for longer before you find all the faults.
I have been using it, in addition to other programs, since JASC was distributing it as shareware. I just upgraded to 2018 version only because Corel offered it for $25. I haven't tested out the new features, but any of the last few are phenomenal. Give it the full thirty days. By that time you will probably be anxious to throw your money down.

Thanks for that both of you. I may well be picking your brains in the next few days.
Here's one I did earlier.

I have used PSP X8 version and also the latest trial version 2018. I find the software a little lagging on processing speed, for example, there is an annoying delay in speed between the actual adjustments after moving the adjustment sliders. This may not be the case for other users and maybe just an issue on my side. Anyway, this frustrated me to say the least so I purchased Affinity Photo and I am have no issues whatsoever. :)
I did say I might pick your brains. Is it possible to do focus stacking?

With PSP I believe it is with a focus stack plug-in software, but Affinity has that capability in house and for less money than PSP.
Been using many iterations for the past 10 years, love it.

Is that slash of white a natural lens flare or something created by software?
Lens flare..... but enhanced.
OMG! Is that a “chemtrail”? We’re doomed! A little early morning sarcasm.

Haven't upgraded yet, can't decide if I want to spend the bucks on a new computer or not, that decision comes first, however, I've been using PSP since at least X4
, no question I'm staying with PSP, Bob.
PSP is under appreciated in my opinion. It's much more intuitive to use than "Photoshop", less expensive, does most everything one could wish for including taking Topaz plugins. Too bad more people especially beginners aren't familiar with the name and end up frustratingly trying to learn PS, like having never driven a car and first learning to drive a transport truck with 18 gears just to go get to work. That being said, having recently moved to Mac which can't use PSP I have adopted Affinity which is modern, fast and really good too, though Topaz plugins don't work as cleanly "yet".

I've been using PSP x8 ultimate and just upgraded to PSP 2018 Ultimate for under $30! I find PSP to be faster and more customizable than x8. The Ultimate package contains Aftershot 3 which is a raw file processor like Adobe Lightroom. Since I already use Aftershot Pro 3 which has more controls, I am not using this part of the Ultimate package. Getting back to PSP, it has the power of PS and will do 16 bit color depth (unlike most of PSE layers) and has the ease of use features of PSE and will take most of the PS or PSE plugins as well. The knock on previous versions of PSP was that it had slow response. Corel has addressed that with PSP 2018. One of the features of Aftershot that I really like is the ability to download raw data for new cameras as they become available. There is no need to upgrade the entire software.
