Glad to be home and sitting in my favorite living room chair. Had major colon cancer surgery but everything has been cleared up so they tell me. While sitting here I saw my wife's African Violet's sitting on the cocktail table. Here they are SOOC with my Canon 80D and 70-300 f4/5.6II lens.
Oh Bob, I had no idea!!! Will send you a PM, but it is very obvious that the interruption of practice has not in any way affected your ability to produce beautiful images!!

Lovely images. Glad you are on the mend.
Photo therapy is just what the doctor ordered. I pray that you heal quickly and can get back out in the field. In the meantime, please continue to post whatever your wife brings to you.
Well done, Bob. Glad you are home and healing. Keep shooting.
Sorry to hear this, Bob... and thankful you are on the mend. Take care!!
Beautiful shots of such lovely African violets, that I love.... I have 10 of my own!
Good to hear your surgeons were able to remove all the cancerous tissue. I have named my cancer "Arnold" because of that oft quoted line by an actor of that name, "I'LL BE BACK." I have found great support at Gilda's Club. Also, the Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Palliative Care Group made a video about Palliative care and in abject desperation, picked me as the subject, the designated dead guy. That video is at

Great shots of the African Violets, Bob!
I wish you a most speedy recovery. But, you know, your wife is worried and wants to be sure you mend well and fully. So, she doesn't necessarily need to know how soon you feel like doing cartwheels and somersaults -- ease her worries and have her keep delivering those photo ops!

Beautiful set, Bob, and a speedy recovery for you.
I'm sooo sorry to hear your news, Bob, and I'll be praying that the cancer is, indeed, gone for good! These are beautiful shots of our wife's African violets!
