When I posted photos yesterday taken with my Panasonic GX85 I didn't intend to start a "who shot John" piece. Merely wanted to show what these new format cameras are capable of for those that may be interested.
Anyhow, in the beginning I was using my Nikon D7200 and 200-500 lens photographing him. This buck was very comfortable with my presence so after taking ~100 photos thought I'd hike back to the truck and get the Pany. In order to photograph him with this camera I wanted to get closer if possible. So I made a wide loop and went around the point and came up from below and got the closer photos posted yesterday.
Now these are shots taken with my Nikon kit with more favorable sunlight. Also gonna repost photos of a huge Non-Typical buck taken last January for comparison.
BTW, all these photos were taken hand held by an old man huffin' n' puffin' up and down hills, so there may be a little motion blur if you "pixel peep' at 100%. But, I got the shots!!
