You wait for years to view one of mankind's great constructions. Your two-hour window (allotted by the tour schedule) finds the Wall covered in clouds rolling by. You are not going to get those wonderful sun-lit shots you see in the travel blogs.

Yet, happily, one turns out to be pretty interesting. I used no filters to create this effect, just ACR and Nik Viveza. You need to download.

Plethora of sunny shots.....not only is this a wall hanger, but a pic that is seldom seen.

Excellent download and details Dave, love the composition with only two people in the shot, how lucky was that?

Ha! Who needs bright sun and high contrast. Beautiful!
This has a water color feel to it.

Hi, Sylvia. The backstory is that I had climbed up to the highest "tower" in the direction most people were NOT going. (The stone steps were a bit slippery and I had to wonder how armed troops would move quickly in those conditions.)

The woman in the couple was quite attractive, so I decided to go for a "going away" shot. Serendipity. Thank you for your kind comments.
