Great camera and I just sold mine. Reason.....the XE3 just came out, and the sensor went up to 24Mp. Body slightly smaller and controls a bit more menu driven which is a trend and not likely avoidable.

The 24Mp is driving me, but for your sake prices should fall on the X-E2. That fast sharp kit lens the finest kit lens i have ever used. The cheapest way to buy it is as kitted with the X-E3.

Not trying to flip you, but be careful on the X-E2 price

Thank you very much for the information Kuzano - much appreciated. I’ve been looking for awhile for a camera for my wife to move her up from her IPhone photography, and after seeing the results and size from a pro photographer friend’s X-E2, I think it’s just the ticket, and I’ll take a look at the X-E3 as well.

There are 2 relatively active Fuji forums dedicated to the X-Trans cameras. Tons of info. You can find the by searching Fujifilm X-Trans forums.

One is fujix-forum.com, I think. I don't have the links here with me.

Thank you again Kuzano. The results this camera produces are really outstanding, especially considering its size, and I really like control layout - very much like a classic 35mm film camera. Who knows, maybe my wife will let me shoot it sometime 😎.

Cheers,
Chris

Buy Two... people seem to be hot on that 24Mp model, so maybe the price drop will put two X-E2 models in reach???

I've been shooting Fuji large format lenses, and dropped all my other medium format gear for Fujica when they introduced their 6X9 Cm rangefinder Medium Format. (Big Texas Leica) in the Sixties. In Fact, I gave up Bronica and Hasselblad for Fuji, for lens sharpness. Fujinon glass has always been superb in Fuji's lenses.

So have shot one form of Fuji or another. Always excellent products.

Indeed. From their film to their digital bodies to their lenses, they seem to have an excellent eye for color (or it matches my preferences) - I moved from Kodak color film to Fuji many, many years ago for this very reason.

I have a like new XE2s, with lensmate thumb hook, glass screen protector, shutter button, and shutter count in low hundreds. All box and things with new camera. Got it from B&H.
$450. Not interested in anything lower.
