"When you look at yourself from a universal standpoint, something inside
always reminds or informs you that there are bigger and better things to
worry about."_ Albert Einstein

Three years ago~ I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer {stag 3}. After, one month of intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments- I underwent
a complete esophagogastrectomy{all of my esophagus and a forth of my stomach}, were removed. I'm sure you've heard of the:"97 pound weakling"
~Well, I'm living(?) prove...that, they really do exist!:> *Dorothea Lange~passed away, from esophageal cancer and yes...I can certainly relate, as to, how
much pain-she had to endure, before "crossing the Jordon"!

Yes, there is always something more serious to worry about. We should all count our blessings.

Good, but grim, photos, but it's good have the photographic record.

A close friend underwent the process to eliminate esophageal cancer. He has survived for five years so far. I appreciate the agony you have endured. May God bless you and keep you healthy.

When someone goes through what you have gone through all the petty daily problems are very insignificant. God Bless you my friend. /George

Amazing transitional set of images. Everything that once seemed so important, just isn't anymore. Live each day as if is your last. I am 77 and am vividly aware. I have had a quad bypass, a new heart valve, and a maze procedure and am here to talk about it. Yes indeed blessed.

Carry on as best as you can and God speed. Believe me, I know being a cancer survivor. Cancer is a four letter word.

I'm so sorry Dave, and I have been very fortunate, but as the years roll by have started to appreciate each day much more and to take things each day at a time! God bless you!

About a year and a half ago I also was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. They gave me five weeks to live. I did mention it on here to all my hog friends. I had friends praying for me all over the US and even the UK. When I went back for my check up the cancer was gone. I am a believer in God and have given my heart to him. The Doctors at the hospital cant believe it. They compare my scans and Xrays and say how is this possible. I still have a port that they put in my chest that they used to give me the chemo. Now they want to take it out.

Thank You, my 'brothers'!:>

'His Eye Is On the Sparrow'_ 1905 by lyricist Civilla D. Martin and composer Charles H. Gabriel

"Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heav'n and home,
When Jesus is my portion,
My constant Friend is He;
|: His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. :|

Chorus:
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free;
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

"Let not your heart be troubled,"
His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears,
Tho' by the path He leadeth,
But one step I may see;
|: His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. :|
Chorus:

3. Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise,
When song gives place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him;
From care He sets me free;
|: His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. :|
Chorus:"
