Two night shots

For nearly the entire 40 years that I have lived in Tulsa this fountain has been dry. It has been a wonder that the sculpted carbon molecule has not been defaced. With so much revitalization of our downtown this plaza has been lit and kept clean of trash. A security guard sits with a view of the plaza. I ttok the shots from the sidewalk about 25' away so he wouldn't run me off.

I live in Tulsa, but don't recall seeing this. Where exactly is it?

Owners and tenants didn't want to pay to run it I guess.

%th and Boston. It is under the corner of the building literally, but open to the street. The fountain faces south.

Are you talking about the below ground walkway that goes between the parking garage and the bank?

Sorry this reply is so late, but, no. It is actually as though the building was constructed so that part of the walls facing south and west are inset by about 10 feet from the overall vertical facade. The lights that you see in the first image are the ceiling and are actually below office space that is on the second floor. The plaza as I call it is street level/ And by the way I located it wrong; the building is at 6th and Boston. You might check google maps 522 S. Boston, street view to see the plaza.

Sorry this reply is so late, but, no. It is actua... (show quote)

Thanks for the info. I found that it is the Amico Building that houses IBM. The fountain plaza is outside of the building in sort of a porch area. I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to walk right up to the fountain. It is just off the sidewalk. The symbol above the fountain is actually a map with each dot representing a different geological formation.

Thank you for your information; I couldn't find it. The reason I shot from where I did, besides the fact that I did like the angle, there was that twice I have been approached by security telling me that I had to go to the sidewalk and off the property. Gun shy on my part maybe.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like a rent a cop with Mall Guard syndrome.
