If you learn manual mode you will understand how all modes work.

I agree. Honestly, I feel like manual is treated like the holy grail. It’s neither rocket science nor is it akin to becoming a medical doctor. Frankly, if one doesn’t understand how manual exposure works, then neither do they understand how aperture priority or shutter priority work.

Yeah if you really want to learn it. Takes about 30 min. if not less.

My friend it is The Holy Grail that all the other modes on cameras are based. Now, for those that did not come through the manual only camera era like the "old school" did, think about it this way, if you will. When it was film and manual only a light meter was necessary to get a sense of exposure. There was also one's intuition from previous experience experience with a film and bracketing to be sure to capture the best, as one had to wait for the film to be processed. Fast forward to today when for any shot we can pick from any mode and shoot for a review on the LCD and check the histogram. Technology I appreciate having endured the limits of film and I'm glad we're HERE NOW to have more choices for creative control, but as modes go, MANUAL is the most creative control a photographer can use. By all means AV, TV, and B are very useful. I, personally could do without A, but what about a know-nothing newbie? These digital instruments make music for the eyes.
