My Mom was a pro photog in the 40s and 50s. She was the one who taught me. Some of my favorite memories were helping her in her darkroom. I went blind at 7 years old and she continued to show me things I could do with a camera and sound. She taught me how to judge distance by sound (kind of) and how to adjust the old folding Kodak by feel. There was a lot of things I couldn't do and I never really got a good photo but she never gave up and always let me know I should never give up. Yep, women photogs have a special place in my heart too. BTW after 4 corneal transplants I now have sight in one eye and thank God everyday for AF and Mom
