I went to a flea market and found an old box that held an old lens wrapped in layers of cloth. Did not have my camera with me but I did see that it had an F mount/ with Nikon end cap so I knew it would work on my Nikon camera, D5500. I know this is an "old" manual lens. I am trying to find some kind of manual for it. The Tamron site operator said cool find, going old school, sorry but no manual, but search online to find one. I did search and cant find any manual or print info on this lens. I spent $50 for it and it looks worn but not dirty and no fungus inside lens that I can see. Came with no case or bag or adapter/converter. Has smooth action on the adjustment rings and the internal 43 mm filter looks clean. Kind of cool to see the 95mm end only need an internal 43 mm filter. Planning to have some fun with it this next weekend. Does anyone here have any tips on the use of this lens?

Here is a link to the manual http://allphotolenses.com/public/files/pdfs/3056f9a76b462268b0e64340627efead.pdf

And some reviews here. Seems pretty good deal for $50. https://www.pentaxforums.com/userreviews/tamron-adaptall-2-sp-200-500mm-f5-6-31a.html

I love stuff like this. I have an old Nikon 300mm fixed lens. If you can use it with a monopod, it will steady your shots to a great extent. Does it have a mount point? My 300mm has one and it makes shooting the long lens much easier with a pretty good hit rate.

Yes, they made them big in the old days. I'll be interested to see how well it works.

That lens will give you OK results, congratulations on a fine purchase. There is a plus to this lens, have your wife carry it in her purse, if she is ever accosted all she needs to do is pull that out of her purse and start swinging.

In general, any AdaptAll lens is worth $50 if in good condition - often just the mount part is worth close to that - and they were well-built.

I’m not sure what you would need out of a manual. Each has a normal focus ring and an aperture ring, but I’m glad someone found a manual.
