Have fun. Get her a wig so you can understand hair lighting.

Great way to set up your lights before your subject arrives also, I used a plaster statue when I had my studio.
Which Alien Bees do you have? I still have all of my studio gear, hoping I can set again before I get too damned old

She has one...and we used it. I just happened to love the clean lines on this. I am shooting a beautiful woman with a nearly shaved head very soon, and wanted to practice with this lady. I think she needs a name...I'm open to suggestions.

I have two 400s. I also have one of their soft boxes, and a PLM umbrella. I used their beauty dish for this, since it was set up already.

Kewl
When I started with the A/B I made the mistake of getting 2-1600s and 2- 400s, then found I hardly ever use the 1600s in my studio my shooting area was 14' x 30' and didn't require that much light. I ended up messing one of them up and sent it back for repair and had it converted to a B800. PCB was great on the turn-around and did the repair for no charge.Attached is a photo of the area before we were completely finished. Behind the back ground paper is a "window" 4'x7' and 2' deep, this was used in the first shoot of "The bath" with Amber"

I'm not seeing any attachment from you. I too started with a 400 and an 800. The 800 was way too much light for my studio. Paul Buff was great. I returned it per their policy and bought the 400. I love that company!!
