Thank you Joyfullee...

It brings back to mind when my Mother was in a nursing home and we went to visit her from Chicago down to Tennessee many years ago. She had not spoken to anyone for at least six years or more before the day we visited. My Dad would visit her once a week to be with her. After walking with her in the garden behind the nursing home and everyone else had said their goodbye's I kneeled down in front of her while she set on the side of her bed. "Mother we are going now I want you to promise me that you will behave your self!" She got a twinkle in her eyes looked at me, smiled and said; "I always do!" Needles to say as soon as I walked outside I lost it.
Thank you Joyfullee... br br It brings back to mi... (show quote)

Now you've done it. You made my eyes rain! You were so blessed that it was you she spoke to.

My wife and I visited an old friend in a nursing home a few months ago. She is 93 years young. She had this very large and old fading picture of her sisters and brothers taken back when she was three years old. The picture was worn and cracked in the corners and some discoloring thoughout. I offered to take the old picture home and would try to take a picture of it to fit a small frame. I did not do anything to the picture other than take a shot of it. The results made her cry and she now wants me to make a few copies for her still living brother and sisters.

You're a good man, Buddy. It takes so little to make someone happy. Good job!

Nice, also could try to fix up a little.

thanks MadMike.. I would be pleased for you to try your best. To have that original picture appear wrinkle free would be a wonderful Idea. Even to compare pictures and give to her would be a blessing indeed.

Thank you, Buddy. It's a pleasure to know someone will be happy. God Bless you for taking the time to visit an old friend. I have an old friend too, but too far away. We chat on the phone.
You can't make an old friend overnight.

Emmet. Friends are hard to find, true friends that is...but to have a friend and that friend becomes an old friend then you really have something!

sinatraman...those are wonderful. I love the black and white too.
I can tell that you spent a lot of time going in and covering up the cracks and wrinkles.

Jan will love them and I plan to print out the black and white for her.
God Bless..
