Actually, the U.S. Weather Service has indicated a warmer winter than usual for the New England area, so we might not see scenes like these here this year.

Ha ha, you're all so funny! No no no and bring it on!!!

And SteveR, I'll take our blizzards any day, compared to your tornadoes! I lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma for 10 years, and a 10 year old boy was killed in a tornado just a few blocks from me.

However, I've been in Dallas for 44 years and I think I've had two colds. Isn't that how many you have every year? I'll take my chances with the tornadoes to miss the misery of colds and flu!!

BTW....Tornadoes seem to skip around Dallas for some reason. They hit near but not in Dallas. Lancaster has been hit by several and it's not far away.

I had colds and sinus infections in winter in Oklahoma. Sinus Surgery cleared me of that for a decade, but it grew back. I never get the flu shot, and I never get the flu. What I am trying to say is that I get fewer colds and sinus infections here in Massachusetts than in Oklahoma... but that is in part due to the surgery I had in the last year in Oklahoma.

I wonder why Dallas gets fewer tornadoes? High buildings prevent tornadoes from forming?

Tornadoes scare me a lot. I'll still prefer blizzards.

Best wishes for a nice winter - and that means I hope you can enjoy it, however you wish. I used to ski the black diamonds. So I love snow on ski slopes.!

I love Michigan. Upper Peninsula in Hancock - my great grandfather's bricks show off his work. My grandmother had a picture of them going out a second story window to get out of the house due to 15 feet of snow.
