Why are you selling it? I use the 200-500 but seems your lens is a good one especially at that price. New version 80-400 new costs around $2800 bucks.

This is a great lens (I own one) and the price is a steal. Big savings compared to the new version.

Yes, it's quite a good lens. Initially, I thought I should ask for more but after looking at the asking prices on eBay, $500-$600 seemed to be competitive. I need to sell it, not keep it in a case in a closet.

Paypal is a middleman type site owned by Google. It protects buyers and sellers against fraud. If you are a member and buying from a seller that accept Paypal, you're protected because you never give your credit card number to the seller. The seller is protected and gets his money from Paypal guaranteed. Most merchants accept Paypal transaction now. I buy a lot from B&H using Paypal. You can get more details from their website.

What camera body are you using this on? Seems like my research suggests this came out long before most newer DSLRs.
