The Ministry's crack Hostage Rescue Team is on the way to save poor catnapped Eisenheim the Magnificent, but it's essential that the catnappers think we're in full compliance with their ransom demands.

To that end, the Martian has directed me to put a dress on my mop and put it in a rocking chair near the window in Madame P's darkened room. I then sewed some fake 'ears' on a small duffle bag and placed it on the arm of the rocker, and set the chair to rocking. From any distance, an observer would think our favorite Dark Lady and Chopper were just relaxing and still in the Ministry, as ordered.

Two, the Martian has made a show of buying up MilkBone Dog Biscuits at the local supermarkets, as Saturday night's hamster fight is approaching fast.

Lastly, his new armada has returned to port, anchored just offshore, and put up for sale.

This clever ruse should be enough to fool the most canny of catnappers!

Thanks, Jerry. A half-painted scene again. Boats and water are photo-real, background buildings and shore are painted. Fun to do.

Glad you enjoyed this, and thanks for your kind comments and visit, always much appreciated!

Thanks, Bob. You and I both know the Martian doesn't have the slightest intention of selling his fleet. But it has to look that way for now. Clever kitty.

Thanks for the positive comments and visit, always very much appreciated!

Thanks, Angler. I think even Nelson would have been daunted, should he have had to face that formidable Ministry fleet. And we're of course all agog at the prospect of another exciting hamster fight. Sorry you can't make it, it promises to be an epic contest this week. A record crowd is expected, but I'm afraid the overall gate will be down, as Eisenheim TM has the only key to the concession stand, and we think he had it on him when he was abducted. I won't say that's the real reason the Martian wants him back so badly, but you can draw your own conclusions.

Thanks for the fun comments and visit, always enjoy and appreciate them!

Thanks, John. A very tranquil image, almost hated to use it for the story and mar it with that 'for sale' sign, but what the heck, lol. Glad you enjoyed it, and hope those dory races were good memories. Barely remember high school now, half a century and more gone by, and what I do remember wasn't especially good. But I evidently survived it, lol.

Thanks for the smile and your visit, always very much appreciated!

Fantastic job on this scene!!

The deception is a brilliant plan and sure to succeed!!

I've been perusing the NYSE last night and came across some interesting trades. The stock, MBC (Martian's Beer Corporation) is up 17%, and

MPP (Martian's Plutonium Punch) rose by 19 %, and even No-Name Catnip is up by 12%. What's going on? Is someone planning a Home Coming Gala,

complete with a ticker tape parade and military bands? Tippit won't tell me anything, just says I'm on a "need to know basis". Darn Cat!!

LOL!!! Thanks, Ron. Can’t speak to much right now, the Ministry’s on lock down until the mission is concluded. Most of us are huddled around the water coolers, trying to act unconcerned, as we await some word from Madame P. But the tension here in Operations is palpable. I’ll try to keep everyone updated, but Martian’s being a bit ridiculous about use of phones and computers, fearing the mole will get word of the rescue mission to the cat appears.

Thanks for the fun comments and visit, always a laugh and much appreciated!
