Beautiful time of year in Connecticut.
I was in New York state and I found the foliage to be dried up or off the tree. From a half mile or more away the foliage looks nice, but I wonder if you have any close-up photos of leaves this year?
Beautiful shots. I love the composition, color and clarity of both!
At this point, the foliage in Connecticut is probably the same as you found in New York. There seems to be a lot of yellow and some faded red leaves, probably due to the dry conditions we have experienced. The pictures I posted were actually taken in 2015. I wanted to go to Vermont over the Columbus Day weekend but I heard there wasn't much color there either.

I travelled extensively in NY state and no decent color. Some of the super color areas of 2015 were drab and dried up.
In NJ, I went to a place which had healthy, vibrant leaves two years ago and the leaves were dried up or fallen on the ground. 2017 is a bad year for leaf photography. Since leaf peeping is a big business in the Northeast, many forecasts of great foliage were just plain wrong to preserve the tourist trade.
We should have shot the first frost yesterday!
I am originally from CT, and I miss the fall. Not the same out here.
Thanks for posting.
