Tamron 10-20 mm for nikon d7100

Focal length is focal length, period. Behavior is all that differs depending on sensor. To get the same behavior on an “FX” D760 that it would provide on your “DX” D7100 would require a 15-30mm - but that is all behavior, nothing “becomes” something different.

Someone could mount this on a D760, but because this is designed for a “DX” camera, for a smaller sensor, through at least part of the zoom range they would see a circle in the middle - like an old-fashioned cartoon ending - instead of the entire image.
