Beautiful shot just love that area. I hope they made out OK with the storm.

I'm sure they did fine. Animals usually know how to protect themselves from the elements.
I think the prevailing easterly winds would be somewhat mitigated by the mountains.

Maybe not. I take a lot of snap photos, and probably discard 95% as lacking sufficient interest.

You get a lovely sense of place from this one.

I took about 350 photos in our ten day trip. That photo is my personal favorite. Next fav was the colorful sunset I took at the same location.
Thanks for commenting.

Nice image. Like the sheep in the fore ground. Never been to Ireland so picture is very interesting to me. Thanks. /George

Thanks, George. Ireland is sheep country, outnumbering cows. See them in pastures, as well as those escapees found grazing along the road.

Great capture.

I notice all the sheep are facing away from the sun. Probably for two reasons, it is warmer on their butts, and they are smart enough to know that staring into the sun isn't smart. Wonder what they were doing on the day of the eclipse.

I bet they were grazing for the eclipse, huh?
Don't think anyone gives sheep credit for being smart. However, for humans, leaning forward facing downhill is less safe then leaning forward facing uphill. Maybe the same goes for sheep.

A very nice photo! Did you get a chance to watch the dogs work the sheep? It's pretty amazing what the handlers can get them to do.

Thanks. Didn't get to see dogs herding sheep. Have seen that on TV.
