From time to time I take two photos and combine them into one image (composite). My idea of a composite is to create a realistic image, one that is believable. Of course that is just my way of creating composites, I'm sure there are others who create composites with other goals in mind. I'd like to see what others are doing and perhaps pick up some ideas and techniques along the way. BTW I do not post my composites in the Photo Gallery Section although I'm pretty sure I could, but as long as this forum exists, I feel it proper to post them here. I just returned from a trip to Alaska and found a photo that I had to pair up with another photo. Here is my latest composite to start things off. Please post your composites to this thread.

My opinion ... not believable.

Not believable because of my work or because of the situation I created?

Sorry ... did not realize you were attempting humor.
Thought you were attempting believable.

Like the image and must of been great to be there.

Situation not believable to me.

If the eagle was snatching up whatever is in the water ... and the two photographer's were aimed on the eagle, instead of somewhere where no one can see what they are capturing ... may have believed that.

I don't think humor and believable are mutually exclusive; I guess I went too far to create the humor. You have given me something to think about.
Thank you for your comments.

C'mon people, there are almost 150 views and no one has posted some work. I know this is a relatively small forum but I can't be the only one "creating" images by using two of more photos.

Here's my latest.

Grandson 6 months old on floor.
Decided to place him on fall leaves.

OK, I don't do many of these but when I was sent the "Before" image with instructions to put another person in to the photo, here is what I came up with:

Before
Before...

After
After...

Nice; much more interesting than a rug. I have a folder called Peripherals that I could use as backgrounds - clouds, colors, solids, blurs, flora, water, etc. . I also make and save masks from time to time in the hopes of coming across another photo where I can place it - like the eagle in my posted image.

My abilities in photoediting are limited to the basics in PS Elements 14. I would like to do some composites of some of my landscape photos - change foreground for example. What would be a good source for learning to do this that makes it as simple as possible? Is there a different program that would make the process easier? Realism would also be one of the goals. Thanks.

My immediate reaction was "that's too funny!" So I guess you achieved your goal. It is funny. Very funny. And too true also. So many times we get focused on a particular thing that we miss something else that's right beside us!

For a long time I tried to avoid Photoshop and just work with Lightroom, then I bought Photoshop Elements and didn't really use it. Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and take out an Adobe subscription and Photoshop. Photoshop , as many have said has a very steep learning curve, however, it does seem to be phenomenally powerful and faster then Lightroom for some things. Fortunately there are lots of on line tutorials. This is an old image I wanted to change up a bit and is also one of my first composites. Again I tried to make it believable. C and C welcome.

Very nice. I can't figure out what the two photos are ... that is good. Is the water the other photo?

Thanks, I photographed the model, in the shower , with water running, but there was no glass screen with water drops on.
The wet glass was the second image downloaded (permitted) from an online tutorial - I can try and reference it .
I think showing less added a bit more, plus was Instagram safe etc
