What happened to General Chit Chat ?

What happened ?
When I joined UHH a few years ago General Chit Chat used to be fun to read. A few non-photo posts, a few jokes and generally friendly, fun chatting.
Now it seems that so much of it is politics, name calling and so poisonous ! Not much fun anymore.
Oh well... Maybe it'll change again or maybe it's just me.

I don't see that in Chit-Chat. Political arguments get shifted over to The Attic by Admin. Occasionally, people complain about non-photographic topics being posted in Chit-Chat, but that's what it's for.

I totally agree. Keep the politics out, I get enough of that on tv, and that can be turned off!

I agree, too much political crap. There's been a new person lately who is really getting annoying with dozens of links daily.

There are some UHH'ers that are just looking for an opportunity to complain about this or that and be rude to UHH members ! I don't come here to look for a fight, just like to learn about photography.

I surely don't mean to complain as I consider it an honor to be allowed to be here but a bit less politics and a bit less name calling might be nice .

Yeah, I noticed her too - every single post was political - in a photography forum!!! I mean, I get that people want to post non photo stuff, but not a single photo-related post, and not a single jerryc41 interesting post - only political.
She's now on my ignore list...
