Windows Movie Maker used to be a very good product, easy to use and full of features, but for some reason when they went to Windows 10 Microsoft bent over and grabbed their ankles. Only logical answer is they wanted to push us to buy some product. They put out the current version with fewer features and it works poorly.

So true. Meanwhile, Apple iMovie keeps getting better and better with each OS upgrade.

I came across a reference to DaVinci Resolve in a youtube video, and downloaded it to give it a try. Haven't really had time to do anything with it, but it appears to be a fully-functioning video + audio editor. It's also free... According to the blurb, the only real limitation in the free version is that it doesn't do 4K video. To get that, you have to upgrade to the Studio version for $299.

Like I said, I haven't done much more than play around with it just yet, but if this thing does half of what they claim, it is probably the steal of the century!

The limited version, is really, really limited! The full version comes at a price ($29,000.00)!

Got my new computer running with window 10. looking for video software. Got a Sony video camera now, may get a GOPRO down the road.

I have successfully used Corel Video Studio for years. It is easy to use but has some really advanced capability if you get into it.
I recently bought Cyberlink Powerdirector. It is a bit more sophisticated but I still don't know how to use it.
