John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down ones life for ones friends."
We have many vets and others (I have 2 kids who are cops) on this site that have given or are ready to give a sacrifice for our freedom. I thank them. There are many others in service to this country and communities who gave their lives as a sacrifice. Then there is Christ who gave His life for everyone even though he had no faults. I appreciate all the vets, police, firefighters, medic and others who have accepted the call to help others.
I challenge the photographers on this post to post pictures of people, animals, places, or things that remind you of sacrifice.. A testimony would also be great.
The pic I have attached is my Dad who was in the the 82nd, 463rd, 101st and 4th in WWII. He was injured twice and was one of the "Battered Bastards of Bastogne". He found the Lord when sitting in a fox hole he heard a voice to get out. That was a real NO NO back then but he and his buddy moved any way and as soon as they moved a shell hit square in the fox hole from which they had moved. He has loved the Lord since. He was (is) a GREAT father. He is 97 years old.

Please give your Father a hug from me and thank him for his service and will be proud to shake his hand in Glory.
