I was incorrect about this. I've installed the updated version of LR and Photoshop and they both work fine with the NIK Collection. Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy
They should! They (Nik) accept a tif or jpg file and write back to it, Lightroom would lose one of its best features if it couldnt pass the jpg or tiff file. Even if they did get rid of edit in , it would be a case of export a jpeg and then open in nik.
Nik should keep working for a while yet, I don't know how well they will work in high sierra with a case sensitive file system, also they may be affected by the change to just running 64bit applications on Osx. Still there are choices which can be made there anyway.

It's just that I was misinformed by some people at Canon that told us that the new versions of LR and PS would allow the NIK Collection to work with them. I believed them because they told us that they work closely with Adobe to develop a product to work on new Canon raw files from the new camera bodies. Obviously they were wrong. I did have to copy and paste the folders from the old version of PS to the new version but it only took a couple of minutes.
