I first saw people doing this in Florida several years back. I couldn't stop watching them it was so interesting and people were all ages.
On this photo, I think you got the timing just right. All the water around the board looks like sand or even camera noise if it weren't so localized. I think it would favor a bigger audience in color with the blue water and bright blue sky.
