People Scouts ? It's a slippery slope . Once the Boy and Girl Scouts are conquered some Leftist screwballs will want to allow dogs in too . What a minute ! That wouldn't address true diversity , all living things would have to be included . Someday the first Eagle Scout might just be an eagle ! Seriously however , there are two other all boy organizations that are having their ranks filled as we speak . This all inclusive unisex craze is not going over well with a lot of parents . I guess we need boys to join the Girl Scouts now . Boys in skirts , why not . Why not ? Because boys should be boys and girls should be girls . This gender expression nonsense is another obsession with the Leftist loonies .

I have never been a Cub Scout or Boy Scout. However my late mother forced me to join the YMCA at age 10. We practically did some things that Scouts did, but no uniforms worn as they do. We had 2 YMCA centers throughout my community. And members with a card could use other facilities. Girls could not join the YMCA back then. However, I see no harm in girls becoming a member of the Boy Scouts or the YMCA. Times have changed. We now have women Generals in the US Armed Forces.

And this obsession with gender diversity is being reconsidered in some areas of the military . Men and women are different . To say they are the same is biological ignorance . It is only to fulfill a social engineering agenda of the Left . Study what mixed gender units have produced in the Israeli wars ; a lot of dead males protecting females in combat . You can't undue human instinct .

I was a scout master and teacher while my son was in the scouts. With the recent changes, I am done with them. We have gone to a country of majority rules to minority rules. If a few people aren't happy then we should change everything to make them so. There is a movement out there to liberalize and diminish everything that is not politically correct in the minds of the liberal left.

good morning.i feel the shift to gender neutrality is a huge mistake at least in our life time..I have thought about this for several years .I am 64 and raised during the women's revolution. I agree with most of it.equall work deserves equal pay..all human "rights" should be given to all regardless of sex,age etc etc BUT. most folks forget that a mere 150 - 200 yrs ago we were not so PC. men hunted and farmed, woman by and large raised the family .we all know the history.it was called survival because woman could not do what the men did as efficiently and men, by and large are lousy mothers(breast feeding)and dont do the nurturing thing as well as women. along comes all of the progressive thought process of equality and the male gender has been neutralized while females have advanced...there is no equality biologically, our biology has not had the time to match the mental shift to one gender..it takes evolution hundreds if not thousands of generations to make small advances so just because some in society think we are or should be equal nature is not so PC..nature is just efficient.i am also a christian so I believe in evolution by divine intervention..SO. let it rip. attack at will..lack of capitalization,grammer,incomplete sentences.i went to a catholic grade school so you can't hurt me. lol. I wa raised by a single mother who had more bark on her than most men..she was not PC,she was efficient. we were poor but she would not consider food stamps or any programs..we make our way in life..as woman or as men but not gender neutral..

As an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster, . . . I have no problem with the participation of girls in Scouting. What I do take issue with is the lack of truth in announcing this change. The truth is that on May 12, 2017, the largest sponsor of Boy Scout troops in the U.S. withdrew itself along with 185,000 Scouts from Boy Scouts of America after much effort to resolve differences.

I totally agree with your comment, "Day", I also find it sad. I earned Eagle Scout 12 years ago at age 16. I'm not sure I would have felt the same then (especially because they are going to allow girls to camp with boys), about allowing girls, as I do now. This move will likely help cater to the many new, and endless genders that we are being forced to accept. I can just imagine what new merit badges will be created because we are to believe that boys are no different than girls.
