Thank you :)
Almost every Dr Who Christmas special has an evil Christmas tree lol
Wow, I love #2 & #3 especially, all are great shots. Well done!
You found a very expressive owl! Very nice series.

There was a pair there, male and female, I assumed the female was smaller, and she was preening as much as the male, I just had to wait till they were done lol.
Early morning light, in the thick of 2 large pines doesn't leave much light. /200ths to 1/500ths ate iso 500 F4 - F5.6 handheld looking up is a pain in the neck lol

well dont feel to bad, I have lived in Florida since 1977, and I have seen 4 great horned owls. These 2 have been hangin out at the rookery recently, no idea how long theyl stay
Absolutely love owls and see many in my area but can never that get close and then its always early in the am.....great photos and shows the personality of these fantastic birds, love the Christmas Tree.
Great shots! Owls are so hard to spot in a tree, let alone capture, unless you know where to look. Good job!
Thanks all :)
yes they are hard to shoot. Fat is I could not tell if i was focused or not. was not enough light to see any detail. had to rely on the almighty all dependable Pentax AF system. < joke of course > however, this time it did not l;et me down and I was quite happy. spot exposure is the key, and yes they get cranky if you approach head on and to fast. approach at an angle, like wandering about,
👍👍👍👍👍
Can't wait to get my first owl pic's
