Ladybugs have always been among my favorite insects, at least until they bite you. I was actually surprised when I discovered their life cycle while taking some flower and honey bee pics.

I have always liked photographing ladybugs, but this year I found them at every stage of their life cycle except for hibernation. Some years ago while deer hunting, I came across large clusters of hibernating ladybugs.
They are interesting bugs.

I have never seen any of stuff before, or possibly I just didn't pay attention to the little world going around me. This year, I was somewhat confined to photographing flowers and bugs in the yard. It was interesting taking a closer look at everything.

I would like to believe I learn something new every day, and probably macro photography gets me closer to the little world where there is always something to learn. The ladybug life cycle was a big surprise.
