After a silly mistake on my part I want to recover some Jpegs from a Lexar card. I have tried quite a few "free " software options. Some identify only useless grey images but others allow me to preview the images I am seeking. A feature of all of them is that the "free ' software is limited to preview and that I need to purchase software in order to recover them. The online purchase price is about $50US. I do not mind paying for intellectual property but to me this amount is a bit excessive especially as they all tout it is free. ( The best I have found is Stellar Phoenix ).
Should I just "suck it up " or is there a way around this?
I would appreciate any helpful comments.
thank you

Piriform's Recuva works nicely. I also use CardRecovery; a bit more thorough than Recuva.

Have you tried Image Rescue? It is free and I have had good results with it.
Thanks all. Unfortunately I tried Recuva initially without success. I will keep trying with the others.
Lexar has a recovery program called "image rescue" I have version 4.
Some photos are just plain “Priceless”.
