Hopefully, I'll get a proper answer, without all the usual bullshit from the usual suspects.
Why is kneeling before the flag, considered less respectful than standing?

You stand with your hand over your heart.

My feelings are: If you don't respect America, I'll be happy to help one pack.

I believe that the situation creates the context in which the act is then interpreted. In the football stadium, the past practice has been to stand for the playing of the national anthem. Using that as the standard practice, kneeling is an act in opposition to standing in respect. In church, kneeling is a sign of respect and submission. To stand in that environment would be a statement in opposition. This is my serious interpretation to your serious question.

The ball players began kneeling last year to protest the cop killings of African-Americans. It has nothing to do with lack of patriotism or lack of respect for the military. Trump wants to constantly deflect from whatever is going on at the moment--the Russia investigation is looking into criminal activities committed by the Trump campaign, you can almost always depend that everything leads back to Russia. He will probably get us into a nuclear war thinking that will get him out of it. Lots of ppl don't even know why the players are protesting, they just believe Trump's nonsense but most of us know better.

Edited: I forgot to say that Trump had begun tweeting about the football players and had no idea why they kneeled, added his lies... he was just starting trouble, as usual.

Perfect explanation. Was going to express the same opinion but not as eloquently.

And apparently you don't understand the difference between a possessive and a contraction (your vs. you're)
