Beautiful. Been there about a month ago, but the valley was pretty much covered with smoke from the wildfire or at least very hazy at that time so the only pictures I got are from Tioga Rd high up in the mountains. But being able to spend a night down in the valley with the view of El Capitan for $6 per person was awesome.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I was there in June on the east side trying to get in at Lee Vining. The road was closed because of snow. So I hope to make another trip and see some of our wonderful national parks. Great pictures.....

Sorry to hear that, some years back I drove up there in the late fall and they had a controlled burn had to turn around as the whole area was filled with smoke, in my case it's not that bad since it's only a 3 hour drive.

Thank you very much Dave, this year the opened very late because of all the snow we had, I was up in the valley the last week in May.

Here is a recent shot of El Capitan if you look to the right hand side you will see where the rock fall was.
