Leila apparently has no second thoughts about having adopted me six years ago {yes, she has dandruff}

Room was darkish, but IBIS allowed me to use 1/4-th second @ f/1.9 and ISO=800

Thank you. The back story is that when my previous buddy died, we went to the shelter, and this cat is the one who pushed against the cage door, determined to get to me, and when I responded, she licked my finger.

Some really wonderful pets can be found in a shelter, too bad more people don't seek them out when thinking of getting another animal.

Six years later she still has emotional scars. She freaks out when I walk towards the front door carrying her - apparently someone had tossed her out.

I have never had a pet that liked to be photographed, hum they must take on my personality.

I'm not sure she knew she was being photographed. This was a natural light photograph. Other than a red focus light and my holding a strange yellow box, from her perspective we were just spending "quality time" together.
