Please help me improve the quality of these. The are typical of my work. Please look at color (I am colorbind), compostion & anything else you can to improve my approach. I would like to display my work publically but not sure I am at all ready. THANKS!

I am not a pro. But others will follow here, I am confident. Your second shot is very nice. Love the color. First one is very soft focus.

Thank you for the feedback. Do you think the twigs/limbs in the upper right hand corner are distracting?

See that's why I'm not a pro. Yes, that will be brought up. Remove those. But may instead crop the shot to that side, in other words, move the flower to the right for the rule of thirds which isn't always necessary.

First one is cropped or shot too tight. Need the top of the pedal at the top of the shot but the whole thing is OOF in my opinion.

I was going for the "Art" type of macro. First time with the Kenko rings on a 18-55 kit lens. I've gotten incrementally better but it isn't where i want it to be yet! Thanks for the continued thought process re: my pics.

Like me, I know when it isn't right yet! Good try, keep practicing.

I don't think it worked as an 'Arty' shot. Try not to chop off ends of petals. Zooming out to take in the ends of petals will give you unwanted spaces on the sides which can be cropped off in a photo editor. Alternatively, zoom in more.
The second image has beautiful lighting and sharpness. Clone out the twigs in the top right corner and maybe crop off a bit of the left side.
Interested to know how these 2 images appear to you in terms of colour.

Thanks Chinaman. It looked better through the viewfinder. You are absolutely correct... nothing "artsy" about that one. I couldn't figure out depth of field and those extension tubes. I will clone that/those twigs out. I apprecate the feedback.
